Artistic journey

Andresa Pedroso

Originally from a small coastal town in southern Brazil, Andresa’s journey as an artist has been deeply influenced by the landscapes, lifestyles and cultures she has experienced. After moving to Australia in 2016, she felt an instant connection with the land and coastal lifestyle of her new home. This connection has become an inspiration for her use of colour, form, and style in her contemporary art.

Andresa is a visual artist who works as a photographer as well, transforming stills into art. In her paintings she works primarily with acrylics and watercolours, but as a curious artist she also explores all different mediums, creating pieces that are both bold and expressive. Her acrylic paintings stand out for their use of vivid, bold colours and captivating compositions. Often leaning into the abstract concept, her acrylic paintings evoke a sense of freedom and spontaneity.

In contrast, her watercolour work offers a softer, more subtle approach, allowing her to explore lifestyle themes with a gentle and unrefined touch. Balancing the boldness of her acrylics with the fluidity of watercolours, Andresa's body of work reflects the duality of her artistic expression.

Since relocating to Byron BayIN 2020, Andresa has found a supportive and inspiring community that has helped shape her path as a visual artist. Through local markets and workshops,  she continues to share her unique artistic vision, inviting others to experience the stories and emotions behind each piece.
